New Client: Recork

We are so excited to reveal we are now working with new brand Recork on a PR, social media and soon-to-be photography campaign! Launched in January 2022, Recork has reinvented the humble cork flooring by fusing nature with 21st-century technology.

Founder James Scully had over 30 years’ experience in the flooring industry to draw upon when he began to develop Recork. In addition, he was influenced by his passion and desire to help protect the planet, giving Recork its special qualities as a beautiful, functional flooring. 

As a new brand in the market, Recork’s aim is to be as carbon neutral as possible. It is the only cork flooring on the market that takes raw cork from the Portuguese cork oak forests and turns production waste, used for stoppers and cork from early harvest, into flooring planks. This approach to manufacturing tackles climate change and biodiversity loss together, while addressing important social needs. 

Una is the name of Recork’s first collection, created in the form of an agglomerated cork plank, made simply from waste cork with a synthetic binder. Available in six shades – from Scandi-inspired whites and greys to warm browns – plant-based oil is used to colour the cork and enhance its natural beauty. 

Not only does it look great, but there are a number of health benefits to installing cork in your home including noise reduction, thermal insulation and improved air quality – to name a few.
